Making a difference in the lives of others

Our Vision: To be a leading resource for non-medical cancer support and services in the Wyoming Valley region.

Our Mission: To provide support to our clients and their loved ones through a welcoming, supportive, relaxing environment.

Why Volunteer?

It all comes down to one thing: making a difference in the lives of others.

Volunteers are the center of our operations. We have a strong team made up of dedicated, hard-working individuals. We would not be Candy’s Place without them.

Several volunteers man the phones during our 40-hour work week, from 9:00 to 5:00, Monday through Friday. Others welcome participants to movement classes, lend a hand in multiple programs, and utilize their individual talents to provide the best possible service for our clients.

This organization is built on doing good, not for reward or recognition, but to make life easier and a bit brighter for those who need it most. There is no doubt that our volunteers do just that.
